India's International Movement to Unite Nations
(I.I.M.U.N.)

I.I.M.U.N. Conferences

I.I.M.U.N. puts together three-day conferences, enhancing glocal citizenship among students aged 13-19. The inaugural day is a ceremony featuring eminent speakers and incorporating cultural elements such as Indian traditional music and dance. The subsequent days involve students engaging in activities such as Yoga and Ayurveda, followed by students being divided into glocal committees, role-playing leaders, and engaging in discussions to solve current geopolitical, environmental, and cultural problems through an Indian lens. Students are then requested to adopt one of our three actionable goals (plant a tree, educate someone, feed someone) before receiving a certificate. The first level of these activities takes place at a school level in 1000 institutions annually. Currently, i.e., in 2023, I.I.M.U.N. Conferences are being hosted in 50 cities and 10 countries annually, impacting 3 million students.

I.I.M.U.N. conferences bring together winners and top performers, culminating in a grand finale in Mumbai/UN HQ-New York/Davos.

Online Leadership Series

In an era where Gen Z and Gen Alpha draw inspiration from reels rather than real life, I.I.M.U.N. has initiated several online series featuring role models for the leaders of tomorrow. These series are produced and distributed across various social media platforms, including I.I.M.U.N.'s verified accounts on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Our combined reach across all platforms and pages exceeds 8 million. The marquee episodes of these series are shared with the Global Principal’s Network to be showcased in their assemblies, thereby leveraging our offline network in addition to our online reach. Currently, we conduct the following two series:

i. Role Models Series: The primary objective of "I.I.M.U.N.'s Role Models Series" is to expose

Gen Z to the right role models, imparting valuable life lessons through their successes

and failures. By showcasing luminaries such as the former Air Chief Marshal PV Naik or

the golden girl of Indian race tracks PT Usha, this series aims to inspire and educate

young minds, fostering personal growth, resilience, and a sense of purpose.

ii. Classroom to Career Series: This series focuses on enabling students to interact with

industry leaders, gaining real-life insights into specific career paths. Conversations with

figures such as the Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India, Arvind Virmani,

or ace journalist Barkha Dutt allow students to understand the journey from classrooms to careers.

Leadership Camp

I.I.M.U.N. organizes exclusive closed-door interactions for the organization's leadership team with prominent figures from diverse walks of life. These bi-annual, 5 - 7 days intensive camps are conducted, bringing together the top 20 - 30 leaders either at the Mumbai Headquarters or an off-site location.

The organizational structure starts with student volunteers in various cities into different departments, overseen by department heads who report to city heads, overseen by the Core Council. The best 20 - 30 city heads, along with the Core Council, are selected for these camps. From this cohort, we have been able to produce elected members of the government, authors, lawyers and change-makers across Industries.

The objective is to upskill tomorrow 's finest leaders today.

Social Impact Initiatives

Our commitment to creating a positive impact on society goes beyond the traditional scope of our above-mentioned programs. Each month, we actively engage in a diverse range of social initiatives aimed at addressing pressing issues, fostering awareness, and promoting social responsibility. These initiatives, conducted throughout the year, reflect our unwavering dedication to building a better, more inclusive world.

For example - Menstrual Hygiene Day wherein I.I.M.U.N. volunteers engage in conversations with men addressing misconceptions about menstruation and promoting menstrual hygiene awareness or celebration of International Yoga wherein I.I.M.U.N. felicitated conduct of yoga sessions in NGOs, orphanages, and government schools, focusing on physical and mental well-being or Kargil Vijay Divas wherein Children from various institutions created heartfelt letters and posters for soldiers stationed in Kargil. The I.I.M.U.N. team travelled to Kargil to deliver these letters to the Chief of the Indian Army during the Kargil Vijay Divas celebration at the border.

These activities are conducted via our student volunteers in at least 50 cities.
